Will this fit my second chance vest? I am an NYPD OFFICER and I know the second chance vest are cut different than most vests.
Yes, it will fit...HOWEVER, you should be careful if doing this because most manufacturers will not honor a warranty if the ballistics are not held in a carrier that the manufacturer produces.

The Armor Express OCS Vest Carrier will hold either the whole vest or the panels without carrier. For best fit and comfort, it is recommended that the ballistic panels only are used.

Does the spike protection cover the entire ballistic pad or is it just a plate? The reason I ask, is because most prison stabbings do not occur from a direct blow to the chest. On the Armorskin your length sizes are Regular/Extra Long/Tall. On the Blauer website they call it Regular/Tall/2x Tall. My Vest is a 54L so I believe I need a little longer than Regular, so do I go with Extra Long?

You should order your new Blauer ArmorSkin in the same size as your current Blauer Shirts. The ArmorSkin has the perforated lycra panels in the side and will stretch if needed.

Yes, there are reviews available; we have one that came to us not long ago through Blauer from an officer that is weartesting the ArmorSkin and we would be more than happy to email that to you. If you have the Polyester Blend (8370), you will not experience any shrinking. You will experience only minimal shrinking with the Polyester/Wool Blend (8470). Proper fit is determined by current uniform shirt size; if you wear a 15-15 1/2 neck, you would get medium. 16-16 1/2 neck is Large, 17-17 1/2
