SureFire just announced yesterday that they are coming out with three new 500 Lumen Fury lights. Here is a breakdown of them:

The P2X Fury Defender is a single-output version of SureFire’s dual-output, pocket-sized Fury searchlight, and it also features a crenellated Strike Bezel that can be used as a last line of defense in an emergency. Its precision micro-textured reflector shapes the light from its high-performance LED into a smooth, far-reaching 500-lumen beam with a bright central area that can temporarily blind an aggressor. Activation is quick and intuitivea necessity in a self-defense flashlight. Just cover the pushbutton tailcap switch with your thumb and press for momentary-on activation; press further to click it into constant on mode. The Fury Defenders high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip in all kinds of weather, and, its hard anodized to military specifications for extreme use under extreme, high-stress situations.

The P2X Fury Tactical is a simpler, single-output version of SureFire’s dual-output Fury. Built for tactical professionals, this pocket-sized searchlight delivers 500 lumens of intense, blinding light with a simple press of its tactically correct tailcap switch. A precision micro-textured reflector shapes the light from its virtually indestructible high-efficiency LED to create a smooth, far-reaching, comparatively wide beam with a bright central area thats perfect for tactical and general use. Simply cover the pushbutton tailcap switch with your thumb and press for momentary-on activation, or twist the tailcap for constant-on light. The Fury Tacticals high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip in all kinds of weather, and its hard anodized to military specifications for extreme use in harsh environments.

The SureFire X400 combines a brilliant white light with a bright red laser aiming device in one WeaponLight. A high-efficiency LED generates 170 lumens of brilliant white light focused by a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to produce a tight beam with good reach and significant surround light for peripheral vision. The LED has no filament to burn out or break and generates tactical-level light?enough to overwhelm an aggressor’s night-adapted vision?for 2.4 hours per set of batteries. The 5-milliwatt, 635 nanometer laser sight, located below the primary light, is nearly twice as bright and much more visible than the nearest competitor. The laser’s adjustment mechanism uses Nylokscrews that won’t back out from the effects of recoil, which means it rarely needs to be re-zeroed. The white light/laser combination makes the X400 effective in close- to medium-range engagements, ideal for law enforcement, military, and self-defense use. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for superior toughness and corrosion resistance, and is O-ring and gasket sealed to make it weatherproof. The X400 comes with two adapter wedges permitting rapid attachment to and removal from either Universal or Picatinny rails. An ambidextrous push/toggle switch provides one-finger operation for either momentary or constant-on operation, and a mode switch allows you to select white light only, white light + laser, laser only, or system disable. Optional pistol grip switches permit operation with the top grip finger, leaving the index finger free to operate the handgun trigger. Other switches are available for operating the X400 when attached to a long gun. Some firearms may require an adapter mount.Click herefor reference.

Here is one of the quieter surprises to come out of the 2012 SHOT Show. SureFire is coming out with an ultra version of the X300 that has 500 Lumens of optimized light and fits universal and standard picatinny rails.
SureFire’s 2012 Video featuring the X300 UltraWe had a meeting with SureFire today and we were able to test a few of the new products, and get some release dates for the items that we saw at the 2012 SHOT Show.

The SureFire Fury isn’t really new, but it sure is an amazing light… the 500 lumens was almost blinding for a light of it’s small size. It is just an all around well planned and well built light.
The EB1 Backup is now available and ready for sale about a month away from being ready. We estimate that it will be shipping in May. It packs 200 lumens into a single Lithium 123A flashlight. Great for a small and handy light that won’t weigh you down or get in the way. We are currently taking preorders on the EB1 Backup.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to play around with the 2211 Wristlight, but we did get some new information on it. We already knew the 2211 will turn on and off as you draw your weapon or flick your wrist. The cool feature is that it is programmable… allowing you to set it up for your on/off movement preferences and brightness in advance. We are really looking forward to this one.
For the remaining lights that were featured at the 2012 SHOT Show (and featured here on our blog of you want to do some reading), they are expected to be released in the end of the 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter of 2012.
Here are the SureFire lights we are expecting to release at that time:We will update this list as we get better release dates for each light.

Get your night vision ready. Here is another great item that SureFire had at the 2012 SHOT Show. If features an IR Laser with a white light primary beam on a selector switch. Like the standard SureFire X400 it fits universal and picatinny rails.

Surefire has announced their flashlight and weaponlight lineup for the 2013 SHOT Show and it has some incredible lights. The list includes a 4000 lumen rechargeable flashlight, IR versions of the X300 and X400 and weaponlight version of the P2X Fury and a new 800 lumen P3X Fury. Just don’t get too excited yet though, as many of the flashlights they announced at the 2012 SHOT Show still haven’t shipped yet.
Yes, you read that right. The Surefire Annihilator comes in at 4000 lumens. It will feature a rechargeable system with variable output to save on the battery draw when the blinding light is not needed.

A redesign of the E2D Defender, this Ultra version increases the lumens from 200 up to 500 with dual output.

One of our best selling flashlights of 2012 was the Surefire P2X Fury. Building on the success of the 600 lumen P2X Fury, the P3X Fury boasts 800 lumens! This should be a great flashlight.

Now here is a great idea. Take one of the best flashlights of 2012 and turn it into a weaponlight. 600 lumens and it can still be removed and used as a handheld model.

Just like the P2X Fury version, but featuring their new P3X Fury at 800 lumens!

Completely redesigned, the BSF Shotgun Forend features an ultra-high, dual output mode LED that can hit up to 500 lumens.

Building upon their X300, this weaponlight will feature a white light or IR light mode.

Featuring a 150 lumen white light and a IR laser sight, the Surefire X400V-IR has a lot going for it. This could be why the X400-IR from the 2012 SHOT Show was never released.

Here is another new flashlight coming out from SureFire, the UDR Dominator. And yes… the title was correct. This beast features 2000 lumens of brightness. Not much information has been released so far, but here is a breakdown of what we know.

SureFire is coming out with a wristlight! It features 200 lumens of diffused yet intense light attached to your wrist – easily activated when you draw your pistol. A revolutionary step forward in tactical illumination.

Great news from SureFire from the 2012 SHOT Show. The world’s most revered handgun weaponlight now features a version with the first ever green-laser diode. It’s optimized for detection by the human eye and extremely rugged and reliable. The green laser allows for better visibility during bright daytime conditions.

We just received word from SureFire that the X300 Ultra will be available for us to order and ship. The X300 Ultra is a 500 lumen version of SureFire’s popular X300 weaponlight that we feature in this post back in January. Since they are just starting to ship, expect a one to two week delay with shipping.
Here are the features of the SureFire X300:
A turbocharged x300 WeaponLight that features the same specially selected LED as the LX2 LumaMax Ultra to generate 500 lumens of blinding, perception-optimized tactical light.
The SureFire X300 Ultra delivers a stunning 500 lumen beam focused by a precision TIR lens. Its specially selected LED is exceptionally efficient at transforming energy into visible light and is slightly biased towards the yellowish-green part of the spectrum to which the human eye is the most sensitive. This combination of increased output and optimized off-white light color increases illumination for the user, creates a brighter surround beam for enhanced situational awareness, and increases the blinding effect on an opponent’s dark-adapted vision. The X300 Ultra attaches securely to the Picatinny and Universal rails found on many handguns and will fit many popular rail-less handguns by using SureFire’s MR adapter mounts. It features integral one-finger ambidextrous switching and can be equipped with SureFire’s optional DG handgun grip switch. Also attaches to long guns fitted with a Picatinny rail and can be activated via remote switches.

SureFire Fury Specifications
Output: Low: 15 Lumens, High: 500 LumensOn Duty Gear is extremely proud to bring you the SureFire Fury. The Fury can put out 500 lumens for 1.5 hours in a design that is only slightly bigger than a Surefire 6PX Pro, while also offering a lower power mode that can last up to 46 hours on two lithium batteries (great for maintaining your night vision). The Fury is built from an extremely tough, lightweight hard-anodizes aerospace aluminum body with a virtually indescructible LED emitter and waterproof o-rings / gasket sealings. The reflector of the Fury is a larger design, big enough to focus the 500 lumen output into a tight beam that is great for searching or lighting up a target in the distance.
